My experience with Dr. Bolton and his staff was excellent. I initially had contact with Mike Anticoli who answered many questions I had about my condition and the possible treatment options. Mike was great from start to even today, months after treatment. They both did follow up calls to me after the procedure. Mike was in contact with me daily for the first couple weeks and continues to check in. I did have a lot of hair loss and Mike was very realistic, honest but also encouraging during the preoperative phone consultations when I was collecting information. Dr. Bolton was also very honest and realistic in our pretreatment consultation regarding the expectations and possible outcomes. I apprecaited his honesty and how he asked me my opinion and desires. He did listen well to me and came up with a treatment plan based on that discussion. The procedure was virtually painless, during and after as I felt nothing during the procedure and really only took 2 tylelnol the first evening. After that I chose to take nothing as I was not in discomfort. There was pressure, but not pain. It has only been a couple months so it will be a while before I really see the results. I know many of the hairs have gone dormant or have fallen out ( and will regrow over time). Even now in this stage of healing my family says they can see a notable difference. I was very pleased with the area of coverage he was able to obtain and am looking forward to when the hairs "wake up " from being dormant and fill in. As I said above I had a great experience with Mike Anticoli and Dr. Bolton.

I had a Max harvest plus procedure with Dr Bolton in October 2020. I had anxiety about the strip being taken out before the procedure, but I can confirm that it does not hurt whatsoever. Dr. B is highly skilled with the scalpel and uses a perfect amount of local anesthetic so there is no discomfort at all when the strip is being taken out. Dr B said it was 70 square cm taken out. Once the strip is taken out Dr Bolton creates the recipient sites which are slits that I didn't feel being made either. While Dr B makes the sites, the staff of three male technicians (who were very professional and who have each been working at GHT for years) dissect the strip under microscopes. Once that is complete, you get a quick bathroom break if needed and can eat some of the snacks and drinks they have set up for you next to the surgical chair if you want. GHT is very private and they only book one client per day and their all male staff (including front desk) focus on you totally. There are no females there to worry about giggling or giving you anxiety while you are in a vulnerable situation. This was a big relief, because most other hair transplant docs book many patients per day and have mostly all female technicians working for them. The technicians surrounded me one on front left, one on front right, and one in the back and they placed the grafts all throughout my head with no pain. When the procedure was completed after about 4-5 hours. Dr Bolton provided all the post op instructions and medication. I was given Keflex antibiotic to protect against any possible infection, anti-inflammatory methylprednisolone pills, Hydrocodone for pain as needed and Tylenol as well. I was also given GraftCyte spray and the instructions to follow for the first 5 days after the procedure. I sat up the whole night of the procedure and was cautious never to touch the recipient area. I took the hydrocodone only the first two days but didn't really need to. Then just Tylenol for the next 3 days. On day 3 I had swelling in my forehead area, on day 4 the swelling traveled down to my eye area, and on day 5 it went to my cheeks. By day 7 all the swelling was all gone, and I had new hairs firmly planted in my head with much of the recipient site scabbing flaking off. I was liking what I was seeing, but those new hairs started shed off around day 13 just as they are supposed to and then they grew back in around 3 months and filled in over the course of the year. I had the stitches removed around 12 days after the procedure and that was a huge relief to have taken out and that was completely painless also. Now my suture line healed invisibly. I cut my sides with a #7 guard and you see no scar at all. I also feel no scar and have all the feeling in my scalp. The end results were nothing short of amazing. Exaclty as I had hoped for and needed! Now I have a complete and full head of hair with a hairline that I can style and comb various ways. It looks completely natural and nobody has ever asked if it was a transplant in the 2 years since the procedure. The whole experience was professional and Dr Bolton and his staff were great. The operating room and the whole office is extremely clean and you can tell it is not some high volume get you in get you out kind of place. I was completely comfortable the whole time. I reccomend contacting them and asking for my patient coordinator named Michael with questions or to set up a procedure. He helped me through the entire process and it's been 2 years and he still follows up for updates. Dr. B is obviously passionate about getting great results for his patients. Highest possible recomendation! Look no further!

So far, so good!
Had my hair transplant last October. Been in contact with Josh, Dr. Boltons correspondent, since day 1. Cant recommend either of them highly enough. Im currently only at 5 months but my hairline has already dramatically improved and Im seeing lots of new hairs popping up. Ill keep everyone updated as the months progress. Im now entering the growth phase of my transplant. The total process lasts approximately 18 months so 13 more months to go! Stay tuned.

First let me start off by saying getting a hair transplant is not something anyone should be ashamed of male or female. This like any cosmetic surgery is to help with your self esteem and at the end of the day that's all that matters not someone else's opinion. When you do decide to go on that adventure, please do your research and consider Dr. Bret Bolton at Great Hair Transplants.
I did a lot of research and even after selecting Dr. Bolton I was still nervous and skeptical. However, he is the best hands down. He explained the process and tells you the good and the bad, when I say the bad I mean what realistically you would expect. That said, he listened to my personal opinion and completely supported my decision of what I wanted to get. That was unbelievable and from that moment on he had my full trust. He wasn't trying to sell me anything or make it so I had to get another surgery. He was honest and understanding and I highly respected that.
As to the actual surgery, I wont sugar coat it, the initial anesthesizing injections were the worst part. It does hurt a little, but nothing unbearable, but I can't express how awesome and professional him amd his team are. He would consistently ask if I needed a break or how I was doing and would stop if I asked at any point. Never once did he just keep going or told me that he "has" to keep going which shows his patience, respect and care for his patients need. His team was also very accomodating and quick to assist if I had any discomfort. Once the anesthesia was done he started the process and at any time I felt even a tiny pinch he made a point to anesthesize again so I didn't feel any pain. Shortly after I fell asleep and woke up to the entire procedure completely done.
He did everything I asked for and more. He always tries to go above and beyond if he is able to and he certainly showed it with me. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I haven't seen my results as I just finished the surgery, but I had to share my experience. I am not getting any incentive or discount for doing this review, this was earned by him and his staff. It was still expensive as it is for any cosmetic surgery, but I don't regret Dr. Bolton as my surgeon. Please, please, please do your reasearch, look him up online he has plenty of videos and if you choose to do FUT, do it with Dr. Bolton you will not regret it.

I flew from Montreal (Canada) to have the surgery. Let me tell you that the service was excellent and the surgery went extremely well. The surgery occurred on May first of 2019 (approx. 6000 hairs to lower my hair line). I will post pictures in six months. I've had an excellent service from the whole team. Dr. Bolton and josh gave me their personal cell. Phone number in case I had some questions.
January 2022 update ! The hair line looks amazing, no one could tell I did a hair transplant. The scare is visible when you trim the back at 2. I did the micro pigmentation as well.
I will probably go back in a year Or two for a second surgery and scar revision

The results speak for themselves, and they are absolutely amazing. Many people were sceptical of hair transplants and the results they could achieve. I was one of them. I had already had a FUE transplant (not recommended) done somewhere else a few years ago and didn't get the results I wanted. So, of course, I was even more sceptical than people who had never had a procedure done. It didn't matter that I was still losing my hair at a rapid rate. I had two choices: let my hair fade away and go bald in another year or two, or roll the dice and try one more time. As you can see, I chose the second option. I did a Google search and found the office of Dr. Bolton. A few more times, I was still a little sceptical, but I saw a lot of reviews from other patients who had very good results. It was worth a try. Josh Engoren, the person who answered the phone when I called, was very polite and professional when he explained Dr. Bolton's MAXHARVEST procedure to me. To talk about losing your hair can be awkward and even seem like you're being vain because you want to stop this genetically-inherited trait. People should note that Josh made it easy and fun to talk. There was never any pressure to start or finish this process, and there was no need to do so. Would Josh and Dr. Bolton treat me differently if I had decided not to go through with the procedure the day of? I'm sure that they would have still smiled and thanked me for coming out in the first place even though I didn't want to. In this place, you won't feel like you have to make a choice. Before you start the hair transplant, here's what you need to know. No, there is a scar, but it isn't very noticeable. This is the main question that many people and I first asked ourselves. I have a very short haircut with a medium fade that starts at zero on the bottom. There is no sign of a scar anywhere on my body. As long as you don't have any skin fade to the top, that'll be a different storey. However, the scar itself is very small. You wouldn't be able to tell that you had surgery unless someone knew what to look for and had a comb and magnifying glass with them at all times. New hair on your head may be the only thing that can tell. Also, how long will it take to get better? Even if someone else knows, you could go back to work the next day. You should take two weeks off. You won't look very good and will be taking medicine. An important step in the process that is best done in comfort. Mr. Engoren and Dr. Bolton will go into much more detail about the stages of recovery and growth, but it is important to stress that how well you take care of yourself in the early stages will have a big impact on how well you do in the long run. Again, the results are out of this world. It's easy to forget that I had hair loss in the first place. Even if you're not ready for a hair transplant but still want to find out more, I think Great Hair Transplants is a great place to start.

Four years ago, I had a hair transplant procedure with Bosley in New Orleans.
As you can see from the before pictures, it wasn't a huge success.
Within a year, I had significantly less hair than I had before the procedure.
Last year, I was given Dr. Bolton's name and a glowing recommendation from my hairstylist.
I took a chance, made an appointment, and flew to Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Bolton and his staff were extremely professional and made me feel at ease and confident about the potential outcomes.
He suggested moving more follicles forward than I had intended, but I listened to his advice and agreed.
I am overjoyed with the outcome.
The procedure was performed on 4/13/21, and the after pictures were taken today, 2/13/22, so I still have more progress to look forward to.

When I came on the page for Great Hair Transplants, I knew it was something I had to do within a week. I wasn't ready to shave my head yet, and I'd had enough of using hair fibres to cover up my bald spots. I was fairly optimistic that Dr. Bolton and his colleagues would be able to assist me prior to my consultation.
My trust in them grew exponentially from the moment I went into the office.
They were knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. On June 18th, I received my transplant results, and I am immediately blown away. Despite the fact that I have another 5 months of growth ahead of me, the difference is already amazing! I was never undecided about the treatment, but I had no idea that it would be my best option at the time.
I'm excited to see the outcomes in 12-18 months.

The personnel and Dr. Bolton were outstanding. Mike kept in touch with me before and after my surgery to answer any issues I had. Dr. Bolton is a true artist in his profession, and I've done hair transplants with other specialists.
He knew exactly what he was doing, and the one-two hair micrografts around my hairline look fantastic. I wouldn't go to anyone else since he is so wonderful!

First and foremost, I would like to say Dr. Bret Bolton is incredible. He is a great doctor, extremely professional, talented, and passionate about what he does. His office is conveniently located in Fort Lauderdale, providing easy access from the airport, which is a plus, especially for me, who lives in another state; I can get better flight options and arrive there rapidly if necessary. His team is excellent, knowledgeable, and detailed oriented. In the past, I have had some traumas from my first hair surgery with another Doctor in the Boca Raton area. I was highly skeptical and unhappy about other Doctors and surgical possibilities since I had an awful outcome. Even reluctant to the prior results and still suffering from significant hair loss, I decided to reach out to Dr. Bolton's staff team member; that was when I met Mr. Joshua Engoren. He was a great listener, positive but simultaneously direct and realistic at the same time, explaining to me in detail how Doctor Bolton works and all the results I could achieve if I give myself a chance to begin my new journey with their expertise and experience. I have to say that I was beyond skeptical and hesitant at first and even sort of rude to Mr. Engoren due to my traumas. I was reluctant and combative, constantly challenging him with tons of questions, which he overcame with his knowledge, patience, and professionalism. And I have to say, letting them help me was one of the best decisions that I ever had made in my life. Period. They took care of me from beginning to end, starting with a clear and well-explained plan by Dr. Bolton. He addressed all my concerns prior to the surgery day. He tailored the final hair design plan, which perfectly fits my facial shape, needs and addresses my high expectations. And no doubts we're left behind whatsoever. The Surgery was painless and quick, in my opinion. I felt relaxed and comfortable but slightly sleepy throughout the procedure, which gave me the impression that I was taking a revigorating afternoon power napafter that, Left home with all paperwork, contact numbers, and details related to the care that I had to take to achieve the expected results. Dr. Brett Bolton and Mr. Engoren were there a hundred percent, making my recovery smooth and easy. I did not have any issues, and the doubts I had were addressed quickly by them, which gave me confidence and peace of mind that everything was ok and entirely under control. My brother and I got our procedure with Dr Bolton about ten years ago. Great reception by Josh and their staff. Respectful, positive vibes, great experience. My brother had a great result. I had a previous surgery going in so i had less donor hair, but my outcome was great still. Transplanted hairs are still holding on till this day. Scar looks pretty good :-)

Dr.Bolton and his team did an amazing job of restoring my hairline and confidence! I remember how nervous I was on the day of my procedure and him and his staff talked me through the entire procedure and kept me calm and comfortable. Dr Bolton is the BEST. My hair transplant came out perfect and even exceeded my expectations. I had two horrible hair transplants with two different doctors. Dr Bolton assured me he could fix the other two doctor's screw ups. Dr Bolton mentioned that most hair transplant doctors have no clue how to perform a hair transplant on a black man's hair. That was likely the problem he said. Dr Bolton assured me that he had vast experience with tightly curled hair like us black men have and that he was up for the job. Boy, was he ever! He did an AMAZING job. Thank you Dr B, you are certainly in a class of your own.
